Xo Sail Fly

Hi / Bonjour

Has anyone experienced delamination of the clear outer laminate in XO Sails material as show in picture below?

Also, It seems that Exocet Original are no longer selling sails in 2024, is this correct and does anyone know why?

Thanks / Merci.

Thanks for sharing experiences with XO Fly2 sail, hoping to learn about experiences with the 7.5m2 size ? I'm searching for a Freerace sail in 7-8m2 size range with following qualities: * durable / long lasting construction (XPly) * light weight * smaller / medium luff pocket to reduce water entrapment when uphauling * easy to rig (0-2 cams) * good wind range Using with 90cm and 91cm wide foil boards and Patrik 900cm Race UHM foilset for freeracing in 8-20kns wind range. Am currently using Phantom Iris RF 8m sail but want something lighter, easier to rig, and easier to uphaul when I am not racing, that still has good wind range and performance. Currently considering XO Fly2 7.5m2, or Phantom X, or Loft SkyScape. Interested in your opinions / experiences with 7.5m2 foil freerace sails that have these qualities? Merci :-)

Hi azuli,

I only have the 6.5 but I guess the 7.5 has the same specs.

  1. No. It's not durable in my opinion, the materials are chosen to be light.
  2. So, yes it is very light
  3. Uphauling is easy (in 7.5? mmmh)
  4. No. The high wind range is not as best as a freerace. Because there is only 5 battens. Anyway the light wind power is there.
